Blythe Lipman

Blythe Lipman is the president and founder of Baby Instructions headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She is passionate about babies, toddlers and their parents. She has worked in the field for over thirty-five years, caring for more than a thousand babies, toddlers and their parents.  Blythe is an experienced baby and toddler expert with a national following.

She is the author of HELP! MY BABY CAME WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS, MORE…HELP!  MY BABY CAME WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS, two award-winning books of easy-to-use tips to make that first year with baby a breeze.  Blythe’s books were named as one of the nation’s Best Parent Products in 2006 by the Media Guide, the Parent to Parent Adding Wisdom Award, with Walt Disney and PBS Kids among others, for “products of outstanding quality that support family life,” Mr. Dad Seal of Approval Award as well the Indie Finalist award and the 2008 IParenting Award. Her most recent project, Help! My Toddler Came Without Instructions was born on Mother’s Day, 2013.

Blythe’s love for babies and toddlers started at the young age of eleven and continued while attending Boston University. She volunteered in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit in Boston’s Lying-In Hospital, lovingly donating many hours caring for the tiny preemies. She worked at Head Start as well as many other facilities while gaining her experience.

Blythe has worked extensively with new parents on an individual basis, as well as providing workshops and seminars through local organizations. She will spend a morning or afternoon in the parent’s home sharing her expertise and tips to make those first years easier while giving them the confidence they need to be the best parents ever.

Blythe continued doing child care for the next thirty-five years, working as the “CEO” (Lead Teacher) of many infant and toddler rooms in preschools caring for children ages six weeks to 5 years.

Blythe has designed many innovative preschool infant and toddler rooms that include state-of-the-art equipment, toys, books and music to help the children reach their milestones. She provides a turn-key operation; meeting with the Health Department, training the teachers, writing the manuals, daily report sheets, parent data forms, as well as the teachers rule books and contracts. Blythe has written the parent introduction booklet “Welcome to Our Infant Room,” now used by many preschools throughout the country.

Blythe has been a presenter many national educator conferences, including the National Child Care Association, the National Association of Child Care Professionals, and the National Association of Family Child Care and serves on the Prevent Child Abuse Arizona Task Force.  She also regularly presents workshops at book fairs, pediatrician and Ob/Gyn offices as well as hospitals and Baby “Specialty” shops.

Blythe currently writes monthly columns and articles as well as being a parenting blogger. She has a high visibility on Facebook and Twitter providing articles, tips and contests for parents on weekly basis.

She has been featured on numerous television and radio shows throughout the country and in Canada, sharing her parenting expertise and easy-to-use tips, with over a million viewers.  She has been interviewed on daytime television programs in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, and seen in 135 markets nationwide on The Daily Buzz.  Her interviews can be viewed on her website, www.babyinstructions.com.

Blythe hosts a weekly internet radio show called Baby and Toddler Instructions each Wednesday morning, 11amEST on www.toginet.com as well as doing a monthly parenting segment on Arizona Midday KPNX (NBC Affiliate).

She lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her new puppy, Lenny and has two grown children and one adorable grandson.
